Gold Conservation Award

At The Thatches, we take our commitment to responsible tourism seriously and are very proud to have been awarded, for the 4th consecutive year, with the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for 2010. 

This award recognises our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and our efforts to consider the local wildlife and natural surroundings.  Throughout the village we have erected owl, bat and bird boxes, introduced a recycling scheme and installed water butts.  We are constantly reviewing “green” initiatives to enhance our commitment to responsible tourism.
