We’ve been the careful owners of Thatches since 2003. Our family welcomes the opportunity to share what it means to spend time here in this beautiful South Devon location – and why you’ll fall in love with this part of the world just as we did.

Sea tractor rides, boogie boarding, long coastal walks that end up in the pub, rowdy games of cricket on the beach, wave jumping, crabbing & rock pooling, hunting for shells, barbeque sunsets – our time in South Devon is packed with exciting adventures, new friendships, and cherished memories that will last us a lifetime.

We’ve spent over two decades exploring this stunning area with friends and family. And even after all these years, there is still so much more to discover! And no matter what excitement the day brings, we always look forward to coming home to the comfort and sanctuary of our lodge. Some of our fondest holiday memories at Thatches include spending timeout on the deck, watching the sunset and sharing stories of our day with family and friends.

a home from home you’ll be reluctant to leave! We’ve invested in our onsite facilities and made some pretty big changes to make sure our guests, young and old, have a memorable and enjoyable stay. It really is a place that has been tested by us every step of the way.
